Our dedicated team of maintenance volunteers have been keeping busy over the closed season; carrying out essential maintenance and improvement works on our boat Dandelion. Dandelion has been taken out of the water for a full hull inspection and re-blacking at MGM marina – the team were please to see the hull in good condition, requiring little remedial work before another protective coat of specialist paint was applied. Once back in the water, the team got to work improving the engine mounts, replacing and improving the anti-vibration mountings for a smoother ride. The engine was realigned with the prop shaft to reduce wear and tear, and the electrics were reviewed and improved, with an additional alternator being fitted to improve reliability. All of this work will ensure that Dandelion will be reliable and dependable for trips for many years to come. A huge thank you to our talented team for the hours they have put into this work.
